My Story: My parents both developed hypertension as soon as they were 40 roughly. In the course of my grad school, I should say also tested extremely high - immediately after I hit 190 systolic. Early this summer, I traveled to the medical practitioner and they tested me and I was at 160/90. Part of this was "white coat syndrome", but on my own tests I was averaging about 143/88. Not really great.
